The body can be thought of as a symphony, where every tissue, bone, organ, and other part is producing a balanced set of frequencies that together make up the “symphony of the body.”
Dis-ease then, can be thought of as one player forgetting or losing their sheet music, or playing the wrong notes. Sound therapy helps the area of the body that has forgotten its music or is playing off key by restoring the frequencies of that part so the harmony of the whole symphony is restored.
We all know music and sound frequencies can have a great influence on how we feel. Just think of your favorite music and how it can change your mood. Or look at the way music has been found to help students with math! Extensive research has shown that music clearly offers the potential to strengthen and increase the interconnections across the hemispheres of the brain. And what about beyond the brain? The heart itself is now recognized by scientists as a highly complex system with its own functional “brain.” Compared to the electromagnetic field produced by the brain, the electrical component of the heart’s field is about 60 times greater in amplitude, and permeates every cell in the body!
Sound therapy can have profound effects on the balance of the body for health, especially in conjunction with other therapies. As with most energy therapies, it is relaxing, simple and effective.
